Botox relaxes the muscles that contract to cause wrinkles. Commonly treated areas include the lines between the brows, the forehead, and crow’s feet (the wrinkles at the corner of the eyes). Hyperhidrosis (excessive perspiration) is also treated in the axilla (armpit), the palms of hands, and the soles of feet. Results typically last about three to four months for facial injections and six months for hyperhidrosis.
